Handy Circle is a marketplace of independent professionals. Carrying general liability insurance — and providing proof of it — is a requirement of working on Handy Circle, not optional, and every pro agrees to it in the Service Provider Agreement. Pros in licensed trades (electrical, plumbing and HVAC) must also hold the licence their trade demands, and we verify that licence before they can quote that work. Because each pro runs their own business, their policy is their own, so you're always welcome to ask your matched pro for their certificate before work starts.

If something isn't right with completed work, tell us within 48 hours and we'll work with your pro to put it right — a return visit, a correction, or an adjustment to the charge.

Most requests are matched within 2 hours during business hours. For urgent repairs, we often have same-day availability. Non-urgent jobs like furniture assembly can typically be scheduled within 24-48 hours at your convenience.

You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 4 hours before your appointment. Inside that window — or any time on the day of the appointment — we may keep 25% of what you paid to cover the pro's held time. Cancel earlier than that and you get a full refund, including the service fee. If your pro cancels or doesn't show up, you get a full refund of everything you paid for that booking — and we'll help you rebook someone else.

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and digital payments through our secure Stripe payment system. Payment is processed after the job is completed to your satisfaction. We do not accept cash payments for security reasons.

Our handymen come equipped with standard tools for most jobs. For specific materials (paint, fixtures, parts), we'll let you know what's needed when booking. Many pros can pick up materials for you for a small fee if preferred.
